The Olympic Shopping Centre at Stratford, London cost £1.5bn to build and was the flagship shopping centre of the 2012 London Olympic Games, situated next to the Olympic Park in Stratford it included many famous street names with London's first John Lewis department store east of Oxford Street, a huge flagship branch of Marks & Spencer and a major Waitrose supermarket, with almost 300 other retail units and a multiplex cinema.

It was designed to achieve excellence in sustainability under the most stringent guidelines imposed on its construction which means they rely completely on the choice of products used.

The Australian property group Westfield, were looking for a cost-effective electric locking solution to be used with their access control system, to prevent the general public access to restricted areas, whilst allowing security personnel access to all areas.

As a result of the stringent procurement process Deedlock Standard Single Electro-magnetic locks were selected as they are fire rated and performance tested to TS010. The Deedlock EM Locks are simple to install and offered a fit and forget solution that provided the Shopping Centre with various levels of security.
